Searching for Imagery
Once you have logged in, you will be taken to the Search page. You can also go to the Search page from the top navigation bar of any page. A search can be conducted in a number of ways:
If you are experiencing problems with the display of the search page, ie the Regional Map is not in line with the Search Box and the Side Bar and you are running Internet Explore Version 6 or earlier we recommend you undertake the free upgrade to Internet Explorer Version 7 by clicking here and following the Microsoft instructions.
To find out which version of Internet explorer you are running click on Help and then About; the version number will be displayed in the dialog box.
Quick Search
In the "Search for:" field, type the name of the item or location you are looking for or an adjective that describes its characteristics. Then press your computer's enter key or the on-screen "Search" button. If you select "all of these words" it will return images related to all of the words you have entered, e.g. 'beach sailing snorkeling' would return an image representing all three of these activities. If you select "any of these words" it will return images related to any of the words you have entered, e.g. "beach sailing snorkeling" would return an image representing either beach or sailing or snorkeling, but not necessarily an image with all three activities. The search engine is not case sensitive so it does not matter if you use caps or lowercase, or any combination of these.
You can also click on a region on the Queensland map to show all images from that region.
Advanced Search
You can conduct an Advanced Search by selecting options from any of the suggested search categories, such as Accommodation type, Action and Adventure activity type, Attractions etc.
You can also search for high resolution images by adding "hi-res" to your search e.g. hi-res gold coast beach.
Search Results
Your search results will be displayed as small thumbnail images. By default the display will show 15 images per page but you can alter this by selecting 10, 30 or 60 from the search display menu in the top right corner.
You can also choose larger thumbnails by selecting "Large" in the search display menu.
Beneath each thumbnail are three icons:
links to the Information page about the item
will add the item to your lightbox
will add the item to your basket

How to order
Add imagery to your Basket As you choose the items you want to order, place each item into your Basket. You can do this at Search Results (click on the basket icon) or from the item Information screen.
Your Basket shows all the items you have selected. You can remove an item from your Basket at any time.
To proceed with your order ensure you have completed all "Purpose of Use" details and have acknowledged that you accept the term and conditions by checking the box.
Finalising your order
Once your order is approved, you will be notified by email. Please go to the "Requests" page to download your selection. Where payment is required you will need to pay for your order prior to download using the online credit card payment facility.
Please review all your order details and take note of the order number for future reference.
If orders require approval by the Gallery Administrator you will receive an email informing you of the outcome. Some items are approved automatically.
If payment is required, you will be taken to a secure e-commerce payment facility, where you can pay by credit card.
Once an order is approved and you have paid or there is no charge, please go to your "Order" from the top task bar menu.
Click on the order number and follow the prompts to download your order. Items will be available for download for 28 days.
The Order page also records any orders that you have made but are yet to be approved or paid if applicable.

To create a lightbox, go to the Lightbox dropdown menu, type in the Lightbox name and click 'OK'. Repeat this process to create additional lightboxes. A maximum of 6 Lightboxes can be created.
To add images to your lightbox, select the lightbox you wish to use, go to the search dropdown menu, select the image and click on the lightbox icon below the thumbnail image. Repeat this process to add additional images. Go to the lightbox and your image/s will be displayed.
A lightbox can be emailed to others for information, discussion or review prior. To email a lightbox use the sidebar, select the lightbox you wish to email and click the 'Email Lightbox'. You then enter the recipient's email address. The recipients will not need a username and password to access the Lightbox.br>

How to Download Images
After you have placed your order and it has been approved and paid for, you will receive an email to advise you that your order is ready for download. Please click on the 'Orders' tab at the top of your screen and click on the Invoice number of the order you have placed. Then, under the 'Order Download' header, click on the 'Click here to download' link.
If the message under 'Order Download' does not change after a few seconds to 'Click here to download', please try refreshing your page by pressing F5 or clicking 'Refresh' on your browser.
You will require special software to view the downloaded files.
The materials available to download have been converted to a digital file. In order to minimise the time it would take to download a large digital file, the images have been compressed to a JPEG format. If you are having problems downloading please check with your administrator to see if there are download restrictions in place with your network or ISP before contacting Technical Help tech-tq@me.com.au
Using Zip, a public domain software product that uses non-lossy compression, the images are compressed so that they can be downloaded directly to your desktop in less time.
You will require software to unzip (expand) the images you have downloaded from the site. Using WinZip or StuffIt Expander you can expand the file back to its original file size. If you don't have WinZip or StuffIt Expander you can download the software from the Internet for free.
